I love to read, especially during the summer. I am always looking for a good book of any genre. So, what are you reading or have just finished reading? Don't be shy, I'd love to read your suggestions!!!

Summertime
As we count down the days to our local water park opening (YAY!!) we are staying busy trying to keep our house "show ready." We have been very pleased with many showings, now we just need the right person to come along who also wants to make an offer!
The kids and I had so much fun at the beach with my siblings! We had nice weather and the place we stayed had so many fun pools for the kids to swim in. It is so different this summer with Mary Kenzie because last summer when we went to the beach she was just crawling and it is hard to have a crawler out on the beach. This year she had fun just walking around and playing in the sand.
I did have to spend quite a bit of time convincing her that it was okay for her to get her hands and feet dirty with the sand. She kept holding her hand up to me and saying "yucky!"
We are excited to be heading back to the beach this Saturday and especially excited that Michael will get to go with us on this trip. I completely forgot to bring my camera this past week but I will definitely pack it for this trip. Look for new pictures on my blog in the next week or two...you won't believe how big the kids are getting and all that God is doing in our lives!

Busy, busy, busy!
SO much is going on in our little world these days. We are in the midst of so many changes, too.
Our house is officially on the market. It's been on for a week and we've had two showings. I have packed up a lot of our non-essentials because it is so much easier to keep the house "showable" with as little stuff in there as possible! Especially with two little ones undoing everything behind me! The first showing I only had 20 minutes notice. I made it but it was very stressful trying to get it ready and us out the door in time. Our dishwasher was full with clean dishes so I did have to put our dirty ones into the oven (Thanks, Sarah!!).
We found a house we loved and made an offer the first of this week...as of yesterday we are now "under contract" with our new home! We are so thrilled! We won't close on it until the middle of July so we still have time to hopefully sell ours before that time comes.
Tomorrow I head back to college for my 10 year reunion! How is that possible?!?! It's especially fun because my sister Karoline has her 5 year reunion and we'll be staying in the same dorm for the weekend! Then, I head home Sunday, pack and head to the beach on Monday for the week with my kids and some of my siblings! Can't wait!
And, just for fun...here's an old picture of me, Susannah, and Karoline when we were much younger!

The Flower

Today we were eating lunch at one of our favorite places and there was a sweet lady handing out flowers to all of the moms. It was a very nice gesture, and I'm sure completely innocent.
But, I couldn't help but feel self-conscious as I carried my flower through the restaurant to our table. I couldn't help but wonder if there was anyone in there who would give anything to "qualify" for the flower. I couldn't shake the feeling that I don't deserve to be a mom anymore than any of the other ladies out there who find their longings still unfulfilled; so why me?
I do know that on my 4th Mother's Day tomorrow, I can honestly say that I am still in awe of what God has done for me...how God has made me a mom and blessed me beyond my wildest dreams with Riley and Mary Kenzie. I can still remember the pain of my infertility...of my unrealized dreams of being a mom for so long. But, now, I can see His faithfulness in the lives of my two precious ones and wouldn't trade one second of my pain because without it I would not have the children I am called to mother.
